Mr. Greben is one of the nation's leading environmental litigators. His 40 plus years of experience includes CERCLA, RCRA, cost recovery, toxic torts and agency site oversite disputes and has been spread among a wide variety of federal, state and administrative matters. He also has expansive experience in defending public entities in flood and other natural disaster cases, and also handles real estate and products liability disputes. Mr. Greben has decades of trial experience, as well as facilitating numerous settlements through mediation and negotiation. A large component of his practice is working on insurance coverage issues as well as with regulatory agencies such as the Regional Water Quality Control Board.
Mr. Greben obtained his JD from the University of Santa Clara in 1981. Since 1988 he has been awarded and maintained the prestigious AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell in recognition of his skills and expertise, experience and highest level of professional integrity. Mr. Greben is a member of the Central, Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of the California Federal Courts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Claims Court.
Mr. Greben maintains an office in Santa Barbara as well as in Burbank and has long standing relationships with Central Coast businesses and the Courts in Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo.
