Insurance Defense, Civil Litigation, Bankruptcy & Construction Defect
The litigators at Hamrick & Evans, LLP have a special emphasis on construction defect and general liability defense, drawing from decades of experience navigating the State and Federal Court systems in California, Nevada and Colorado. The Firm serves its insurance, construction and civil litigation clients throughout all phases of litigation, from initial case evaluation, through mediation, arbitration, trial and/or appeal. The Firm routinely defends Developers, General Contractors and subcontractors in complex multi-party lawsuits. With its vast resources and expertise covering all aspects of commercial and general liability insurance, the Firm is uniquely qualified to assist its clients with any and all insurance issues that arise during the course of litigation.
Insurance Coverage
With decades of experience in all aspects of insurance coverage and insurance bad faith, the Members of the Insurance Coverage Practice Group at Hamrick & Evans, LLP provide the highest caliber of insurance and coverage-related services to carriers and corporations on the full spectrum of coverage and underwriting issues. The Members of the Insurance Practice Group have evaluated thousands of complex litigation and pre-litigation matters, including matters involving complex construction defects, professional liability, complex fraud, environmental and land use, subsidence, contractual liability, defamation and advertising injury. The Firm also handles Cumis evaluations, appointments and related fee disputes, and provides insurance wrap policy administration services.

Through its Entertainment Law Practice Group, Hamrick & Evans, LLP represents private business owners and insurance companies in complex environmental litigation matters, claims filed under the Comprehensive Environmental Response and Clean-up Liability Act ("CERCLA") and environmental coverage matters. The Commercial Litigation/Equipment Lease & Finance Practice Group at Hamrick & Evans, LLP provides the full array of legal services concerning the financing and leasing of major equipment. The Group is chaired by Kenneth Greene, Esq., who is active in all major equipment leasing associations, including the National Equipment Finance Association ("NEFA") and the United Association of Equipment Leasing ("UAEL"), and who is a frequent writer and lecturer, an acknowledged contributor to Miller & Starr’s California Real Estate 2nd, and a member of the Advisory Board of Directors of Leasing News, an online publication serving the equipment finance industry.
Business, Corporate & Transactional
The Members of the Business, Corporate & Transactional Practice Group at Hamrick & Evans, LLP represent companies from Los Angeles, to Hamburg, to Rome, to Greece, routinely handling domestic and international business matters, mergers and acquisitions, formation of domestic start-ups, trademark registration and maintenance, employment-related litigation, formation and maintenance of corporations and limited liability companies, and debt collection activity. The Members of this Practice Group provide advice to corporate clients concerning the handling of personnel matters, wage and hour issues, and claims involving discrimination, harassment, termination, trademark infringement and unfair business practices. In addition, Members of this Practice Group author Employee Handbooks/Guidelines for corporate employer clients, and provide seminars to employees on issues such as sexual harassment and overtime laws. The Members of this Practice Group also serve as litigation and lead trial counsel on behalf of corporations in labor and business litigation matters. The Members of the Business, Corporate & Transactional Practice Group at Hamrick & Evans, LLP are fluent in a variety of foreign languages, including German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese and Farsi, enabling the Firm to provide specialized legal services to a diverse array of clientele.
